OUR CARE GUIDE

Becoming part of the Sheridan Outlet doesn’t stop when you purchase a product — it’s about enjoying it for years to come, too. Which also includes knowing how best to take care of it.

Dedicated to everyday luxury, we’ve worked hard to understand how your product will perform, every day. That’s why we’ve developed care instructions to help extend the longevity of your product — you deserve it.

Product Care

Sheets

For easy care, Sheridan Outlet's bed linen can be machine washed and tumble dried. Sheets and pillowcases feel best when laundered every week; it's recommended not to leave them unwashed for more than two weeks. To reduce wear, alternate your sheets with a fresh set between washes.

Always check the care label for specific care instructions. In general, wash bed linen separately from towels and clothing using a warm gentle wash cycle at 40 degrees. Turn pillowcases inside out. Sheets launder better when they're not overcrowded; load the machine so your items have plenty of room.

Towels

Sheridan Outlet towels and bathrobes have been engineered to a high quality and can be washed and tumble dried. With the correct care, you can keep them feeling soft and fluffy for longer.

Towels and bathrobes should be washed frequently using a warm gentle wash cycle at 40 degrees. Be careful not to overload, and separate lights from dark colours. To protect terry fibres and for superior colour retention, use a gentle eucalyptus-based washing detergent.

Quilts

Always follow the care instructions on your items label. Some materials allow for machine washing, others require dry cleaning. Regardless of the suggested method, wash at least once a year.

In between washes, we recommend air drying your quilt in direct sunlight to release any moisture.

Pillows

As with other bed accessories, always follow the care instructions on the label. This will advise the method of washing, and provide instructions for their best wash.

Generally, it is preferred to wash pillows in warm water as opposed to cold, to prevent allergen buildup. Dry pillows in direct sunlight and allow to air; the sun acts as a natural antibacterial agent and helps keep pillows hygienic and fresh.

We recommend using a pillow protector to prolong the life of your pillow; it assists with hygiene, freshness and keeping them stain free.

Fabric Care

Cotton

We recommend gentle wash at 40 degrees for cotton. For drying, use a warm tumble dry setting. To protect the fibres and for superior colour retention, use mild detergents — for example, ones with a eucalyptus base.

Only for whites should you use a detergent containing optical brightening agents (OBA's). For colours, we recommend oxygen bleach, often referred to as colour-safe bleach.

Linen

To keep your sleep hygienic and fresh, wash your linen weekly using a warm gentle wash cycle at 40 degrees. To protect and prolong the life of your linen products, use a gentle eucalyptus-based washing detergent. Linen softens with washing.

TENCEL™ Lyocell Fibres

When it comes to products crafted with TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres, we recommend washing the item separately before first use, inside out, using a warm machine wash at 40 degrees.

Use a mild detergent and wait until it is fully diluted in the water before putting the item in the washing machine. Undiluted detergents can cause staining on the fabric.

Wool

Always check the care label for specific instructions. If your item is machine washable, use a wool cycle with wool detergent to protect and prolong its life — when drying, do not tumble dry. Line dry is preferred.
